Job summary

Ascension Bonaventure House is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to manage daily staffing, admissions, and case management within the Bonaventure House Community Housing department in Chicago. The role includes supervising staff, hiring, training, and evaluating performance while ensuring clinical operations meet financial and regulatory targets.

You will provide direct patient care when needed, lead crisis situations, and ensure documentation complies with federal, state, and payer regulations.

Qualifications

• What you’ll need includes professional licensure in Illinois (Clinical Counselor, Counselor, Psychologist or Social Worker).
• Master's degree is required per preferences; licensure must be obtained before hire date.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily staffing levels, admissions, and case management to meet targets.
• Supervise staff lifecycle: hiring, training, evaluations, and discipline.
• Provide direct patient care when needed and lead clinical crisis response.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Operational Leadership: You manage daily staffing levels, handle admissions, and oversee case management to ensure the program meets financial and clinical targets.
• Staff Development: As a supervisor, you are responsible for the full employee lifecycle, including hiring, training, and performing regular evaluations or progressive discipline when necessary.
• Clinical Integrity: You provide direct patient care when needed, lead clinical crisis situations, and review documentation to ensure compliance with federal, state, and third-party payer regulations.
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; some on-call required.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• One or more of the following required:
• Clinical Counselor credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained before hire date or job transfer date.
• Counselor credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained before hire date or job transfer date.
• Psychologist credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained before hire date or job transfer date.
• Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained before hire date or job transfer date.
• Social Worker credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained before hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• Must have a Master's Degree
• LCSW/LCPC licensure required
