Job summary

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (LCADC) with approved supervisor credentials to work in the Baltimore County Detention Center in Towson, MD. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, and includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Must be eligible to supervise CSC-CD and CAC-AD staff. The D&A Counselor will oversee clinical monitoring, coordinate MAT delivery, and act as a MAT liaison between the medical unit and facility

Qualifications

• Must be Licensed as an LCADC.
• Must be able to supervise CSC-CD & CAC-AD staff.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related Human Services degree with mental health coursework.
• Minimum one year clinical experience preferred.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and implement MAT in accordance with NCCHC/ACA Standards and PCM policies.
• Serve as MAT liaison between medical unit and facility staff.
• Engage inmates/patients in therapeutic interventions addressing substance abuse.
• Assist with discharge planning for MAT caseload.
• Lead group and individual MAT sessions.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case consultations.
• Assist in establishing Quality Assurance standards and audits.
• Develop in-service education programs.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is looking for an Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (LCADC) and Approved Supervisor to work in the medical department at the Baltimore County Detention Center in Towson, MD.

This position is full-time,Monday - Friday, during normal business hours 8:00am - 4:30pm. We are currently offering a $5,000 sign on bonus!

You must be eligible to provide supervision to CAC-AD and CSC-AD.

Job Responsibilities:

The D&A Counselor will primarily be responsible for the clinical monitoring, coordinating and implementing of the MAT in accordance with NCCHC/ACA Standards and PCM policies and procedures. In addition, the D&A Counselor will also serve as one of the MAT liaisons between the medical unit and facility staff.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Engages inmates/patients in therapeutic interventions with the goal of addressing substance abuse related concerns.
• Actively assist with the detection and prevention of inmate/patient suicide.
• Assesses and documents treatment responses of inmates/patients.
• Facilitates group and individual sessions with inmates/patients in the MAT
• Assists with discharge planning for inmates/patients on the MAT caseload or collaborates with inmate services staff regarding discharge planning (where applicable)
• Facilitates/participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and/or case consultations with staff across disciplines.
• Is a member of the Quality Assurance Committee and sub-committees as Assists in the establishment of Quality Assurance standards and audit criteria.
• Serves as a member of various committees within the medical unit and facility as necessary.
• Develops and conducts in-service education programs according to annual in- service calendar
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Submit copy of professional license and other credentialing information to the corporate office.
• Any/all other duties and responsibilities as assigned and delegated.

• Salaries are negotiable and commensurate based on experience. Annual Salary range $75,000.00 -$85,000.00

• Bachelor’s Degree / Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or other related Human Services degree with a concentration in mental health course work.
• Minimum one (1) year clinical experience preferred.

• Ability to gain trust of patients and build a working relationship
