Job summary

Heron Ridge Associates, part of the Optum family, seeks a Licensed Behavioral Therapist to join our Brighton, MI team. As part of Optum Behavioral Care, you’ll contribute to improving behavioral health care for a diverse patient population, while using evidence-based methods and coordinating with other providers.

You’ll screen for disorders, treat with CBT/DBT and related approaches, and maintain EMR documentation in compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field.
• Clear, active and unrestricted license (LMSW, LPC, LMFT) in the state of MI.

Responsibilities

• Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders
• Provide treatment for mental health conditions using CBT, DBT, and other approaches
• Maintain accurate EMR and clinical documentation per regulatory requirements
• Coordinate care with external providers and form strong provider-patient alliances
