Unity Hospital of Rochester (St. Mary's Campus) seeks a per diem Behavioral Health clinician to provide emergency mental health evaluations, crisis intervention, milieu management and disposition planning for patients in a variety of clinical or community settings.

Under physician supervision, the role involves triaging and intervening for psychiatric emergencies, coordinating with families and the clinical team, and documenting care for admission, treatment, discharge or transfer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Master in human services field or PhD/PsyD required.
• 2 years relevant experience preferred.
• New York State licensure / certification required.
• Licensure options include LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LCAT, or RN license; PhD/PsyD may waive license.

Responsabilités

• Provides emergency mental health evaluations.
• Assists with crisis and acute mental health intervention with family and team.
• Prioritizes and triages patients needing immediate psychiatric intervention.
• Manages communication and documentation for admission, treatment, discharge or transfer.
• Consults with Team Leader/Physician on Call to implement disposition plan.
• Reviews evaluated cases with psychiatrist to determine best disposition.
• Performs behavioral health evaluations in various settings.
• Conducts SBIRT screenings and interventions.
• Attends monthly staff meetings.
• Data collection and ad hoc committee participation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
