Qualifikationen

• MS (Required) in healthcare or related field.
• Bachelor’s in Nursing or Master in human services or PhD/PsyD accepted.
• New York State licensure/certification required or RN license; PhD/PsyD may not require license.

Aufgaben

• Provides Emergency mental health evaluations.
• With psychiatry supervision, acts as consultant to assist patient and clinical team with Behavioral Health subject matter expertise.
• Provides crisis and/or acute mental health intervention in psychiatric ED settings.
• Prioritizes and triages patients needing immediate psychiatric intervention.
• Manages communications and documentation for admission, treatment, discharge or transfer.
• Consults with Team Leader/Manager/Psychiatrist on Call to determine treatment and disposition.
• Provides Behavioral Health evaluations in various settings (secure, hospital, outpatient, community).
• Performs SBIRT substance use screenings and interventions.
• Attends monthly staff meetings; data collection; ad hoc committee work.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
