Job summary

Chimes in Wyomissing, PA is seeking a Licensed Behavior Specialist for our Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) program. Under the supervision of a Clinical Coordinator, you will design, implement, and oversee behavior support services, conduct assessments, and develop behavior management plans with families, schools, and treatment teams.

We welcome fully licensed Behavior Specialists and unlicensed LBS/BSL candidates with a Master’s degree who obtain or maintain LBS or BSL certification.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling, or related field.
  • At least 1 year of full-time mental/behavioral health experience with children/youth.
  • Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) preferred.
  • Unlicensed candidates with Master’s degree may qualify for BSL or LBS with certification.
  • Clearances: PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal History, FBI fingerprinting, Medicaid/Medicare verification.
  • Credential options: LBS, BSL, MSW, or LPC.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct FBAs and client evaluations.
  • Develop and oversee individualized behavior plans and treatment.
  • Provide mobile, community-based behavioral services.
  • Deliver crisis assessment and stabilization when needed.
  • Collect and analyze outcome data for re-authorizations and planning.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to BHTs, parents, and teachers.

About the Role

As a Licensed Behavior Specialist within our IBHS program, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and overseeing behavior support services. Under the guidance of a Clinical Coordinator, you’ll provide assessments, develop behavior management plans, and collaborate with families, schools, and treatment team members to drive lasting change.

  • Unlicensed LBS/BSL candidates with a Master’s degree, provided LBS or BSL certification is obtained/maintained as required.
What You’ll Do
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and comprehensive client evaluations
  • Develop and oversee individualized behavior management and treatment plans
  • Provide mobile, community‑based behavioral services in accordance with IBHS and best‑practice standards
  • Deliver crisis assessment and stabilization services when needed
  • Collect and analyze outcome data (e.g., CBCL, ATEC) for re‑authorizations and treatment planning
  • Provide consultation and clinical guidance to:
    • Behavior Health Technicians (BHTs)
    • Parents, caregivers, teachers, and family members
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain timely, high‑quality clinical documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries)
  • Ensure accurate payroll and billing submissions
  • Support service authorizations and re‑authorizations with required documentation
  • Meet all Department of Human Services training requirements (16 hours annually)
  • Participate in monthly individual supervision (minimum 1 hour)
  • Attend required staff and program meetings
  • Provide case consultation and supervision support as applicable
What We're Looking For
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, Counseling, or a closely related field
    • Degree must be from an accredited U.S. institution or evaluated foreign equivalent
  • At least one year of full‑time experience providing mental or behavioral health services to children, youth, or young adults
  • Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) preferred
  • Will consider unlicensed candidates with a Master’s degree who possess or are eligible for BSL or LBS certification
  • Acceptable credentials include: LBS, BSL, MSW, or LPC
  • Clearances:PA Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal History Clearance, FBI Fingerprinting, Verification of non‑exclusion from Medicaid/Medicare programs
