Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant to direct and administer evaluative and rehabilitative PT modalities under supervision. You will aid in restoring patient function after injury or disease and help patients reach their maximum level of functioning within their limits.
Candidates must have an Associate degree (APTA‑accredited), hold a Texas license as a PTA, and possess BLS.
Position summary: Responsible for directing, modifying and administering the physical therapy modalities of treatment as supervised by the staff physical therapist. Administers treatments and physical agents as directed by the staff physical therapist after evaluation. The PTA aids with the restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
All employees are required to work on any shift and units as needed by the hospital. This means you may be required to work when and where the hospital needs your skills.
