Job summary

Midwestern State University is seeking a Web Services & Systems Librarian to manage the library’s website, digital services, and technology systems, ensuring reliable access to resources and a positive user experience.

You will collaborate with library staff, campus IT, and vendors, potentially supervising technology staff and student workers as needs evolve. Reports to the Library Director.

Qualifications

• MLS preferred; degrees in information technology or related fields also considered.
• Experience managing websites, digital platforms, or technology systems is desirable.
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting users beneficial.
• Experience coordinating projects or leading teams preferred.
• Academic library experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the library website and Springshare products (LibGuides, LibAnswers, LibCal, LibWizard).
• Administer and support library systems, authentication services, digital platforms, and online resources.
• Coordinate with vendors and campus IT to resolve technology and access issues.
• Maintain documentation related to library systems and digital services.
• Evaluate and implement improvements to library technologies and digital services.
• Collaborate with library staff to support web services, digital content, and technology initiatives.
• Provide training and support related to library technologies and digital services.
• Participate in library and university committees as assigned.
