Job summary

Nevada System of Higher Education's CSN Libraries (Henderson Campus) seeks a Student Worker to assist patrons, check materials in and out, shelve items, issue library cards, and answer calls.

Work up to 20 hours per week at $14.00 per hour; eligibility requires FAFSA completion and accepted Student Employment Award. Posting closes 10/2/2026. Successful candidates are dependable, punctual, and ready to provide friendly, helpful service in a busy campus library.

Qualifications

• Computer experience required.
• Ability to alphabetize with accuracy and speed.
• Ability to push heavy book carts up to but not limited to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, stand, and/or sit for long periods of time.
• Dependability and punctuality are a must.

Responsibilities

• Checking library materials in and out to library users using automated library information systems
• Shelving library materials multiple times a day, performing shelf-reading and dusting of assigned sections as scheduled
• Issuing new and replacement library cards to patrons
• Answering and transferring calls on multi-line phone
• Assisting walk-in students in the use of general office equipment, printing and/ or various computer related issues
• Performing daily cleaning and dusting
• Additional duties as assigned
