Job summary

Colbert Elementary seeks a DLC Paraeducator to provide clerical support and supervise students in library and special education roles. This position collaborates with teaching staff to maintain safety, decorum, and orderly environments across classrooms and common areas.

The role includes assisting in library materials management, technology support, and implementing behavior plans under supervision, with opportunities to engage in PBIS procedures and daily records maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with transcripts or diploma uploaded.
• First aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain promptly.
• Considerable flexibility and reliability in a school setting.
• Ability to follow IEPs and collaborate with special education staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support in the school office and library.
• Supervise students and reinforce positive behavior.
• Operate office equipment and manage basic computer tasks.
• Assist with library circulation and eligibility checks.
• Support safety, decorum, and orderly conduct in common areas.
• Collaborate with teachers and LITS/ district staff on instruction.
• Assist with crisis intervention and data collection as directed.
• Maintain organized records and documentation daily.
