Job summary

Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier, VT seeks a Director of Library Services to lead day-to-day operations and shape long-term vision. The DLS reports to the Executive Director and collaborates with the Board of Trustees to empower patrons and staff.

Required MLS or equivalent, Vermont Library Certification, 2+ years management; preferred mentoring, collaboration, tech-savviness, adaptability. Position averages 40 hours weekly with some evenings and Saturdays; salary $68,000-$78,000 plus

Qualifications

• MLS from an ALA accredited institution or four years of college and Vermont Library Certification required
• 2+ years of management experience at a library

Responsibilities

• Manage daily staff operations, technology, collection development, personnel supervision, and patron services
• Provide leadership in collaboration with the Executive Director and the Board of Trustees
• Develop and implement long-term vision for the Library
