Job summary

The University of Arizona Libraries seeks a Library Services Associate (LSA) to provide excellent customer service in coordinating activities at public service sites, supporting academic and scholarly endeavors in the libraries.

The LSA assists customers with basic research needs, reference, technology, and circulation, while monitoring billing queues and leading student employees. Work hours vary with library operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required in addition to education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Provides customers with reference, technology and circulation assistance (in-person, online via chat, phone and email).
• Negotiates overdue accounts and answers billing and collections questions; troubleshoots software, computers, laptops, projectors and other tech.
• Directs the work of student employees and liaises with department leads.
• Supports building opening/closing procedures for Main and Weaver Libraries.
• Plans and executes student outreach events during midterms and finals, coordinating with UA Library staff and student groups.
• Facilitates meetings and presentations and contributes to data-based decision making.
