Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with academic library catalogs, databases, and research resources.
• Experience with standard office software.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) and work in a team.
• Ability to complete detailed work accurately.
• Experience working in a library.
• Advanced problem solving and decision-making ability.

Responsibilities

• Circulation - 45%: monitor circulation functions and support student library employees; assist patrons with check outs and safety issues.
• Reference - 45%: provide online and in-person research guidance; triage questions to subject experts; develop web resources.
• SLF-N processing and support - 5%: assist in pulling and packing materials for storage.
• Assists with the training and assessment of student employees - 5%: support for opening/closing procedures and continuity of service.
