Job summary

LUBBOCK INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a Library Clerk to support the Library/Media Center on campus. The role involves assisting the Librarian/Media Specialist with circulation, material organization, and instructional support.

The Clerk will help implement instructional technology, support teachers, and participate in classroom library activities, story times, and materials preparation as directed by campus leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Typing ability 35 wpm or faster.
• Prior clerical and data processing experience.
• Familiarity with data processing tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle automated circulation of materials including online resources.
• Assist teachers and students in locating resources.
• Gather instructional materials to align with lesson plans.
• Organize library materials and prepare displays.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties in the library.
• Process new materials upon arrival and update records.
• Prepare bulletin boards and story times as directed by the librarian.
