Job summary

The Atlanta University Center (AUC) Robert W. Woodruff Library is seeking a Security Services Officer to patrol the building, parking lots and grounds, and help secure property and people. You will also support the safety of patrons, visitors, and staff.

Requirements include 2+ years in security, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work evenings, overnight and weekends. Military or law enforcement experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of security experience.
• Ability to pass a criminal background and drug screen.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; running may be required.
• Flexibility to work evenings, overnight, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provides first response to Library customer service and directions.
• Make routine rounds by vehicle or on foot.
• Responds to building alarm notices.
• Monitor entrances during shift changes.
