Job summary

Poudre Libraries is hiring an Answer Center Technician in Fort Collins to provide circulation, directional, and general service assistance to library patrons by phone and email in a call center setting.

The role requires excellent customer service, effective communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends. Includes training and teamwork within the Answer Center.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of two years library, bookstore or customer service experience is required.
• Experience with library circulation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons by phone or email in a call center setting.
• Process holds, renew books, and update patron records.
• Run monthly and daily reports to maintain records.
• Handle payments over the phone and process incoming payments by check.
• Maintain safety, security, and guest assistance at the library.
• Participate in hiring and train new Answer Center staff.
• Refer questions to appropriate departments as needed.
• Contribute to library teams and cross-project groups.
