Job summary

Door County is seeking an entry-level Library Page to support public library operations at the Sturgeon Bay Branch. The role involves shelving materials, assisting with circulation, and helping maintain an accessible, welcoming environment for patrons.

Primary duties include sorting shelves, issuing library cards, handling transactions, and assisting with basic technology use while performing other duties as assigned. Evening and weekend shifts are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or current enrollment (minimum age 16).
• No prior experience required.
• Preferred: previous library or customer service experience; familiarity with library classification systems and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Shelve materials and ensure accurate alphabetical and numerical order.
• Assist at the circulation desk with checkout, payments, and data entry.
• Issue library cards by verifying patron information and inputting data.
• File materials/records using standard classification to keep systems retrievable.
• Answer phone inquiries and direct patrons to appropriate staff.
