Job summary

The City of Dover's library is seeking a Library Page for an entry-level, part-time role dedicated to keeping materials neatly organized and easily locatable. You will sort, shelve, shelf-read, and assist staff in retrieving items, with some evening shifts for closing duties.

This position requires attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to work independently. Hours include every other Sunday during the academic year and 1–2 afternoon or evening shifts, offering a steady, local role

Qualifications

• Reads and writes basic English; comfortable with simple instructions.
• General knowledge of computers and ability to use basic software/applications.
• Public-facing experience or service orientation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sort, return, and place materials on shelves in adult, teen, and children's areas and storage.
• Log off computers and close the library, including tidying and securing the building.
• Follow a shelf-reading schedule to keep books neat and organized.
• Assist patrons in finding materials and answer simple questions in the stacks.
