The CITY OF ROCHESTER NH library seeks a detail-oriented clerical worker to support daily operations in the library department. Responsibilities include shelving books, assisting patrons in locating materials, and performing routine office tasks under supervision.

Performs manual clerical work in the library department.
Incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Patron Services Supervisor and may receive work assignments from any higher-level staff employees.
Work is generally performed under typical office conditions.
Work is learned via on-the-job training. Clear and concise instructions are given. Work is evaluated in progress and upon completion. As the incumbent becomes familiar with assigned work, tasks can be performed independently.
Operates a computer and general office equipment.
Position seldom requires contact with the public, responding to inquiries in writing, orally and in person from library patrons. This position involves daily contact with department employees.
Has no access to confidential information.
Errors in administration could result in delays or loss of service.
