Incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Patron Services Supervisor and may receive work assignments from any higher-level staff employees.

Work is learned via on-the-job training. Clear and concise instructions are given. Work is evaluated in progress and upon completion. As the incumbent becomes familiar with assigned work, tasks can be performed independently.
Operates a computer and general office equipment.
Position seldom requires contact with the public, responding to inquiries in writing, orally and in person from library patrons. This position involves daily contact with department employees.
Has no access to confidential information.
Errors in administration could result in delays or loss of service.
