Qualifications

• Master's degree leading to NYS certification as library media specialist.
• Bachelor's degree; complete a library media practicum and 1 year of full-time teaching or library media-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and administer an integrated school library media program.
• Instruct students and staff in information and technology literacy.
• Develop procedures for efficient operation, services and facility use for the library media program.
• Provide leadership for integrating technology with instruction.
• Collaborate with teachers to deliver lessons using information resources.
• Develop and maintain a collection aligned with curriculum and learning styles.
• Implement automated catalog, circulation, and textbook check-out services.
