Job summary

Arlington Public Schools Thompson Elementary School in Arlington, MA is seeking a Library Media Specialist to deliver library services and instructional technology support to the school community under the direction of the Director of Digital Learning.

Under collaboration with district teams, you will design standards-based instruction aligned to the National School Library Standards (AASL) and the Massachusetts Digital Literacy and Computer Science standards, manage print and digital resources,

Qualifications

• Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education as a Library Teacher.
• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Additional certification in Digital Learning preferred.
• Experience with instructional technology in a variety of content areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver library services and instructional technology support to the school community.
• Collaborate with teachers to design engaging learning experiences and assessments.
• Develop and deliver professional learning opportunities for staff.
• Evaluate and promote use of instructional technology to improve learning outcomes.
