Job summary

TrulyHired in Charlotte, NC seeks a School Library Media Coordinator to lead, develop and implement a dynamic school library program integral to a student-centered educational process. The role focuses on instructional resources, digital learning, and collaboration to prepare students for a globally competitive world.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Library Science is required.
Licensed by NCDPI as a school library media coordinator (076).
Strong knowledge of curriculum development and library media standards.
Ability to design instruction based on data and standards.
Excellent communication and collaboration with school leadership.

Responsibilities

Provides leadership and professional development in support of all students.
Aligns teaching with state standards and information skills.
Models and coaches teachers on inquiry-based learning and digital citizenship.
Empowers students as readers and creators in a collaborative learning environment.
Organizes the media center to maximize access to resources.
Plans long-range, data-informed plans for digital learning and media programs.
Leads initiatives with PLCs and school leadership to improve student achievement.
