Job summary

Bergen Community College's Pitkin Education Building in Paramus, NJ, seeks a Library Assistant - Media to support basic Library Media Services operations and provide back-up service at Paramus and Meadowlands locations.

You will advise faculty and students on equipment use, assist with media devices, help with catalog and Internet searches, and resolve simple hardware/software issues, with occasional weekend work and lifting up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent required.
• One year in public services and using a multifaceted integrated library system or equivalent.
• May work some weekends and at different locations.

Responsibilities

• Explain library policies and procedures
• Advise faculty and students in the use of computer and media equipment for academic related use
• Provide assistance to faculty and students with media mobile equipment, multimedia equipment and tablets
• Identify and resolve basic hardware and software issues
• Assist with the library catalog and Internet searches
• Other duties assigned.
