Job summary

High Point University seeks a Technical Services Student Assistant for Smith Library to support daily processing and mail distribution. You will learn library RFID tagging, jacket preparation, and labeling tasks in an academic library.

This hourly student position offers up to 20 hours per week, with Monday–Friday availability 8:30am–5pm and training provided by the Technical Services team.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be able to work independently and be available to work weekdays (Mon-Fri 8:30am–5pm).
• Must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.
• Able to lift and carry 15–20 lbs.
• Attention to detail is essential.

Responsibilities

• Label books, DVDs, and other library materials.
• Stamps and applies RFID tags to materials.
• Measure and cut book jackets.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
