High Point University seeks a Technical Services Student Assistant for Smith Library to support daily processing and mail distribution. You will learn library RFID tagging, jacket preparation, and labeling tasks in an academic library.
This hourly student position offers up to 20 hours per week, with Monday–Friday availability 8:30am–5pm and training provided by the Technical Services team.

Technical Services prepares books and materials prior to their addition to the general library collection. As a student employee you will gain experience working in an academic library and applying specific library processing.
Responsible for the distribution of library mail including packages, as well as the physical processing of library materials, including book jackets, and book covers. RFID tagging of books as we prepare for the move to new Charman Library.
The candidate will perform most/all job duties in Smith Library. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours. This position requires up to 10 hours per week.
