Columbus Metropolitan Library is seeking a Materials Services Associate at the New Albany Branch. The role involves processing and sorting library materials, shelving, and providing basic customer assistance in a friendly, efficient manner.

You will greet customers, help with directions and self-service tech, and support program preparation while upholding the library’s standards and procedures. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with a schedule that includes weekday evenings, Saturdays,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to pass alphabetic and numeric sorting tests.

Responsibilities

• Process and sort materials accurately, including returns and new materials.
• Shelve materials and maintain orderly shelves across the location.
• Greet customers and assist with basic directional questions.
• Assist with self-service public technology and program preparation.
