The City of Boston Library is actively seeking staff to support daily operations across its 25 branches. You will help sort, verify, shift, and check in materials, and you will shelve items in the correct locations to ensure easy access for patrons.

You may retrieve items, answer basic questions, and operate equipment such as photocopiers and scanners. CORI checks and residency requirements apply, and applicants must be at least 14 years old.

Qualificações

• Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail as required by the job.
• Must be at least 14 years old.
• Residency: City of Boston on the first day of hire.
• CORI check required with the City of Boston.

Responsabilidades

• Sort, verify, shift, and check in materials.
• Shelving materials in appropriate locations.
• Retrieving and routing items from shelves as needed.
• Answer basic questions and refer to other staff as appropriate.
• Operate equipment such as photocopiers, microfilm readers, printers, and scanners.
• Perform other related duties as required.
