Job summary

Shasta Public Libraries in Redding, CA is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to connect the community with the library’s offerings. You’ll plan and coordinate marketing efforts for services, programs, and events, and design promotional materials with input from the Library Director and staff.

This full-time onsite role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects. You’ll oversee website and social media, ensure consistent messaging, and help grow public

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related field preferred.
• Experience developing marketing materials and working in a collaborative environment.
• Familiarity with public libraries is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of social media, email marketing, and website content management.
• Excellent visual design skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and related tools.
• Strong written communication and editing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines; be open to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Library Director to develop content and promotional strategies.
• Design and produce marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, signage, emails, posts, and newsletters.
• Maintain and update the library website for a consistent user experience.
• Create engaging content for social media aligned with guidelines.
• Assist in press releases and promotional content as directed.
• Ensure materials meet guidelines for style, accuracy, and grammar.
• Coordinate with staff on events and programs for promotional needs.
• Analyze data on marketing performance and propose approved recommendations.
• Organize digital archives of marketing assets.
• Support evening and weekend events as needed.
