Job summary

Indian Prairie Public Library District is seeking a Guest Services Page to assist with check-in and shelving duties and to help library patrons with directions and questions. The role requires accurate shelving, ability to order items, and basic computer skills.

The position offers part-time hours (~14–16 hours per week) with morning, afternoon, and some weekend shifts. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and able to communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• Ability to shelve library materials accurately.
• Ability to arrange items in alphabetical and numerical order (test required).
• Ability to learn check-in procedures.
• Practical knowledge of computers.
• Must have excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to move loaded book carts and bins.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and staff in English, both oral and written.
