Indiana University’s Ruth Lilly Law Library on the IU Indianapolis Campus is seeking a Senior Circulation Assistant to support the department manager, staff the front desk, train student employees, and handle interlibrary loan requests and billing for overdue materials.

The role includes opening/closing the library on Saturdays and provides foundational experience in library operations within a public academic environment. This in-person position lists salary between $32,760 and $43,513 annually.

Responsibilities

• Staffs circulation department front desk
• Opens and closes library on Saturday
• Bills for overdue and/or damaged materials
• Processes interlibrary loan requests and deliveries
• Assists faculty, students, and other patrons with locating library materials and online resources
• Assists management with training student employees
• Answers circulation department email and phone
• Manages the stacks
• Supports student engagement through graphics design
• Performs other projects under supervision of circulation manager
• Monitors library systems and creates basic records
• Compiles statistics for unit reports
• May oversee desk and train student staff
