Indiana University’s Ruth Lilly Law Library on the IU Indianapolis Campus is seeking a Senior Circulation Assistant to support the department manager, staff the front desk, train student employees, and handle interlibrary loan requests and billing for overdue materials.
The role includes opening/closing the library on Saturdays and provides foundational experience in library operations within a public academic environment. This in-person position lists salary between $32,760 and $43,513 annually.

The Senior Circulation Assistant provides direct support to the department manager in staffing the front desk, training student employees, processing interlibrary loan requests, billing for overdue/lost library materials, and maintaining the stacks. Alongside circulation desk support, the Senior Circulation Assistant opens and closes the library on Saturdays with minimal supervision.
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
