Job summary

Lone Star College-Montgomery is seeking a Part Time Assistant II, Library to support students, faculty and the public with circulating and reserve resources. You will log, process, and assist with inquiries while delivering friendly service on campus.

Responsibilities include operating the Horizon system, assisting patrons, and helping with daily statistics and fines processing in a collaboratively run library environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with library systems preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Horizon Information Management System for circulation and reserve tasks.
• Assist library patrons in person, by phone or email and refer to reference staff when needed.
• Open/close library; manage cash register in absence of senior staff; record daily activity statistics.
• Interpret and enforce circulation policies for students, staff and community.
• Assist with patron access to laptops, copiers, pay print, fax and AV equipment.
