Anderson Public Library seeks an experienced Cataloger to maintain an accurate, consistent catalog for all formats and support the library’s ILS. The role emphasizes high attention to detail and adherence to cataloging standards.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of cataloging experience, a Master’s in Library Science, and LC3 or higher certification. This on-site position supports Collection Services and requires reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of cataloging experience.
• Master’s Degree in Library Information and Science required.
• LC3 or higher certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Experience with ILS and MARC editing preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform original and copy cataloging and maintain authority records.
• Support ILS operations and correct catalog records.
• Assist with collection maintenance including weeding and shelf-reading.
• Maintain department equipment and supplies.
• Uphold library policies, procedures, confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
