Job summary

Richland Library Ballentine is seeking a customer-focused associate to greet patrons, identify & fulfill their needs, and deliver friendly, professional service across all library areas.

You will assist with programs, equipment, and materials, support opening/closing procedures, maintain supplies and statistics, and help ensure accurate item location and efficient workflow in a collaborative environment. High school diploma required; excellent benefits included.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and technical skills, including a good understanding of technology.
• Two years of post high school education preferred; clerical experience valued.
• Ability to perform all job duties and provide friendly customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and ascertain individualized needs for service.
• Assist patrons with equipment, materials, and information during library visits.
• Help with adult and children's programming and maintain welcoming environment.
• Support opening/closing procedures, stock, statistics, and cash reconciliations.
• Promote efficiencies and ensure correct location and condition of items.
• Respond to directional and informational inquiries about services and initiatives.
