The Irving Public Library is seeking a detail-oriented and customer service-focused part-time library assistant. Duties include checking in, shelving, unloading, and sorting library materials; assisting library customers with checkout and registering for library cards; processing search reports; and providing assistance with library programs, displays, and program flyers. Duties may also include answering account inquiries, assisting the public with library computers and other equipment, and transporting books. Duties typically require lifting up to 60 pounds frequently.
Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience are required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are beneficial. Hours vary and will include some evenings and weekends. Applicants must submit hours of availability with the application.
Pay Grade GG10 / Full Pay Range $17.60 - $24.81 per hour
