The Brevard County South Mainland Micco Public Library seeks an experienced paraprofessional to supervise Circulation, Reference, or Youth services. The role includes supervising other paraprofessionals and volunteers, handling customer needs, and ensuring smooth daily operations in a busy library setting.
Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with possible evenings and Saturdays; salary is $22.94 hourly, negotiable based on experience and qualifications, and includes

Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and may include evenings and Saturdays. Performs experienced paraprofessional library work supervising the Circulation, Reference, or Youth section of a library. Supervises other paraprofessional employees and volunteers.
REQUIREMENTS: Successful completion of two (2) years of college coursework at an accredited college or university [30 semester (45 quarter) hours = one (1) year] PLUS two (2) years of progressively responsible library experience. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have completed, or must complete within eighteen (18) months of employment, all of the classes for all three (3) phases of the Brevard County Employee Development Program and receive a passing score on all three (3) phase examinations. When usage statistics change, library employees may be assigned to another library. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
