Job summary

Bristol Community College in Fall River is seeking a Library Assistant I to provide front-line support in the Library Learning Commons. You will assist patrons at the public service desk, handle circulation with Koha, help with printing, and share information about library and tutoring services.

The role requires flexible scheduling across Attleboro, Fall River, New Bedford, and Taunton locations, with some evenings and weekends. Prior library or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to work accurately with names, numbers, codes, and/or symbols.
• Able to assemble items of information according to procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons at the public service desk at multiple LLC locations.
• Perform circulation tasks using the Koha system.
• Help patrons with printing and provide information about library and tutoring services.
• Monitor LLC chat and email accounts to ensure accurate information is provided.
