Job summary

University of Central Florida Libraries in Orlando is seeking a Library Technical Assistant II to oversee shelving, ARC maintenance, and the Access Services desk. You will schedule and supervise student employees and may close/open the building as assigned, with a physical component to daily duties.

The role requires a high school diploma with 2+ years of relevant experience; familiarity with cataloging is preferred, and on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Preferred familiarity with Library of Congress cataloging.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARC and open stacks; sort, shelve, audit, and shift collections.
• Hire, train, supervise student assistants.
• Operate access services desk as needed.
• Operate circulation system; assist patrons and provide information.
• Process cash/credit card transactions for fines and lost items.
