Job summary

Belmont University’s Bunch Library is seeking friendly, reliable student assistants for the Access Services Department. You will staff the Information Desk, help patrons with directions and basic library questions, and help shelve books and media while keeping the space organized.

Ideal candidates are enrolled Belmont students who can multitask, follow schedules, and participate in ongoing training. This on-site student role offers flexible late-evening and weekend hours and a supportive team

Responsibilities

• Staff the Information Desk.
• Answer directions and basic library questions; assist patrons.
• Refer research questions to librarians.
• Care for and maintain library spaces; stacks maintenance.
• Know library collections and circulation policies.
• Collect and log statistics.
• Enforce library policies and refer issues to staff.
• Work assigned shifts or arrange substitutes.
• Participate in training on library resources and procedures.
• Complete tasks from Access Services Supervisors/Manager.
