Job summary

Reedley College Library is seeking a Librarian for its Part-Time Faculty Pool. This position is open until filled and may start at varying dates. Job description

Librarian (Reedley College) Part-Time Faculty Pool

This is a part‑time faculty position in the Reedley College Library. The role will be open until filled; start dates may vary.

Essential Functions

Provide on‑demand reference and reader’s advisory services to students; conduct bibliographic instruction in a classroom; plan and present library tours; collaborate with faculty to increase awareness of library resources; promote resources and services to faculty, students, and campus groups; participate in collection development; perform technical services duties; ensure consistent access to electronic resources; and participate in planning and implementing the college’s information competency goals.

Minimum Qualifications

• Have a master’s degree in library science, library and information science, a valid California Community College Credential, or the equivalent education and/or experience (requiring equivalency).
• Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Desirable Qualifications

• Knowledge of current information technology in libraries.
• Knowledge of collection development and technical services functions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision and assist with other duties as assigned.
• Commitment to advancing the institutional mission and goals.

Salary and Benefits

Starting rates: $45.49 – $61.78 per lecture hour; $38.67 – $52.55 per lab hour; $38.30 – $52.05 per non‑instructional hour. Sick leave accrual is based on assignment hours.
