Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in library and/or information science accredited by the ALA.
• Three or more years of related experience and/or training as a professional librarian; two or more years supervisory experience preferred.
• Possession of or ability to possess a license as required by the State Board for certification of Librarians.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facility maintenance, security, and public outreach activities.
• Provide customer service in circulation, reference, research, technology, and/or technical services.
• Plan and organize programs and other special activities; stay informed via professional journals and reviews.
• Lead readers' advisory and material selection efforts; contribute to collections and services.
• Supervise staff; hire, train, and manage personnel; schedule time and evaluate performance.
• Plan and implement public outreach; maintain facilities; ensure safe, welcoming environment.
