Job summary

Library Systems & Services, LLC seeks an entry-level Librarian 1 to support the Lakeshore Branch in Moreno Valley, CA. The Librarian 1 will work with the Library Management Team to support programs, services, policies, and workflows, under oversight from a senior Librarian and Branch Manager.

Responsibilities include direct patron service, catalog work, collection support, and outreach to the Moreno Valley community. This is a full-time, on-site role with a 40-hour week and $27.00 hourly rate.

Qualifications

• MLS or MLIS degree required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends based on branch needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute library programs and services for the Lakeshore Branch and community.
• Provide high-quality customer service and assist patrons with reference questions and resources.
• Support programs, policies, and workflows in the library.
• Process bibliographic and item records for the catalog and maintain online presence.
• Assist with collection management and programming, including social media updates.
