Job summary

The City of Redwood City is seeking a dynamic, full-time Librarian I/II/Lead to join the Downtown Library team. The role covers cataloging, collection development, programming for adults, outreach and outstanding customer service in a collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of professional library experience, MLS, and the ability to work days, evenings and weekends. Spanish ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Possession of MLS from an ALA-accredited college or university.
• Experience in cataloging, collection development and programming for adults.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expertise in cataloging, collection development, programming for adults, outreach and exceptional customer service.
• Support and foster inclusion and belonging for diverse adults in the community.
• Provide information services, technology services and youth/adult services as needed.
