An established educational institution is seeking a dedicated librarian to lead its library/media center. This role focuses on empowering students to develop critical information skills necessary for academic success and societal functioning. The librarian will collaborate with teachers and serve as a curriculum adviser, ensuring the library is integral to the school's instructional programs. Description/Notes: Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Direct the operation of the school library/media center. Provide services and resources that allow students to develop skills in locating, evaluating, synthesizing, and using information to solve problems. Serve as teacher, materials expert, and curriculum adviser to ensure that the library/media center is involved in instructional programs of the school.
Qualifications: *Master’s degree from accredited college or university (for individuals certified after 1/23/2001)
*Valid Texas librarian or learning resources specialist certificate or endorsement
*Gifted and Talented (GT) certification preferred
Salary Range: $61,200 Per Year (Teacher pay scale)
