One trusted connection can open a door for an entire community. Build the relationships that bring new people, ideas and possibilities to CoinPicks.
The role
Be CoinPicks’ relationship builder in the rooms that matter: crypto conferences, industry gatherings, founder communities and relevant private events. Meet founders, builders, creators, potential partners and community leaders, understand what they are working toward, and connect the right people with our leadership. Own preparation, in-person relationship building and thoughtful follow-through. Regular event travel is central to this role; the calendar, destinations, budget, expenses and evening or weekend commitments are agreed in advance.
What you’ll own
- Research and recommend relevant events, communities and people; prepare a clear purpose, priority meetings and an agreed travel budget for each event.
- Attend approved crypto and industry events as a credible CoinPicks representative, build rapport, and listen for shared interests and meaningful opportunities.
- Develop trusted relationships with founders, builders, creators, potential partners and community leaders; arrange relevant introductions for CoinPicks leadership.
- Keep concise, permission-conscious relationship notes, agree next steps, and follow up personally after events until the right team owns the opportunity.
- Report useful introductions, relationship progress and partnership opportunities; coordinate with the Events Manager on events we host and with leadership on commitments.
What you’ll bring
- A track record of building strong professional relationships through events, partnerships, business development or community work, with examples of what those relationships led to.
- Working knowledge of crypto and its communities, with the curiosity to hold credible conversations with founders, builders and partners.
- Confidence meeting people in person, thoughtful listening, excellent follow-up and the judgment to recognize a promising mutual fit.
- Strong organization and discretion with private conversations and contact information; represent agreed priorities accurately and refer proposed commitments to leadership.
- Ability to travel regularly for the agreed event calendar, including some evening or weekend events; discuss practical availability during the hiring process.
- First 30 days: learn the mission and existing network, map priority relationships, and propose an event calendar with clear goals and budgets.
- By day 60: attend the first agreed events, establish relevant new relationships, and maintain documented introductions and follow-up plans.
- By day 90: show which relationships have progressed into useful leadership conversations, guest introductions or partnership opportunities, and refine the next event plan.
