Job summary

Amazon's Prime Air team seeks a Liaison Engineer in Structures and Payload to support manufacturing and assembly operations. You will act as the first line of defense for non-conformances, collaborating with Design Engineering to drive design updates that improve quality and reduce cost.

You should balance engineering judgment with analytical rigor, and have experience in aerospace or hardware programs. The role involves on-the-floor problem solving and continuous improvement across production

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems experience.
• Experience with DFx (Design for cost, test, manufacturing)
• Experience interpreting, modifying, and developing mechanical and electrical drawings
• Experience with root cause analysis and manufacturing engineering

Responsibilities

• Review and disposition non-conformance events related to drone hardware on the production floor
• Provide real-time engineering support to assembly and test teams
• Develop standard repairs and DFx improvements to enhance quality and reduce cost
• Collaborate with Design Engineering to translate production findings into design updates
• Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
• Develop disposition templates and analysis methods for common non-conformances
• Update work instructions with manufacturing and quality teams
