TMC Transportation, Inc. is seeking a claims professional to investigate, evaluate, and negotiate liability and physical damage claims arising from incidents impacting the company.

The role focuses on minimizing losses through thorough analysis and timely settlements. You will maintain digital claim files, interact with outside adjusters, claimants, and witnesses, and coordinate with police or hospitals as needed.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree with 1-3 years claims experience preferred.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment and tolerate stress.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Investigate, evaluate and negotiate liability and property damage claims to minimize losses.
• Maintain paperless and computer files on all current liability, property and physical damage claims.
• Oversee correspondence and direction when dealing with outside adjusters.
• Interview and/or correspond with claimants and witnesses; consult police and hospital personnel; inspect property damage to determine extent of liability.
• Estimate cost of repairs, replacement or compensation.
• Prepare reports of findings and negotiate settlements with claimants and insurance companies.
• Assist in managing subrogation and litigated claims.
• Set and monitor case reserves.
