Job summary

Sentry Insurance is seeking a Claims Representative-Liability to independently manage caseloads and negotiate settlements. You will verify coverage, evaluate liability, and coordinate with providers to resolve claims efficiently and fairly.

Role requires 1+ year of related experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to obtain state licensing. Hybrid work flexibility is offered with in-office collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience.
• Ability to review and analyze detailed documents, insurance policies, coverages, medical bills and records.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated fundamental negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify coverage by reviewing policies and interpreting terms.
• Evaluate liability and negotiate or deny liability based on investigation outcomes.
• Assess physical damage and bodily injury claims using estimates, reports and evidence; coordinate with providers.
• Set claim reserves and negotiate settlements to fair resolutions within guidelines.
• Document decisions and activities to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
• Provide empathetic service and clearly explain the claims process to customers.
