Job summary

Sentry Insurance is hiring a Claims Representative-Liability in the United States to investigate and resolve claims with accuracy and fairness. You will independently manage caseloads and negotiate settlements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and at least 1 year in related work; attorney-rep background is highly preferred. Licensing requirements may apply in your state.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience.
• Prior attorney rep experience highly preferred.
• Ability to review and analyze detailed documents, policies, coverages, medical bills and records.
• Ability to make appropriate claim decisions, prioritize and manage workload.

Responsibilities

• Verify coverage by reviewing policies and language.
• Evaluate liability by statements, police reports and evidence; negotiate or deny based on outcome.
• Assess physical damage and bodily injury using estimates, photos, medical reports and appraisals.
• Set reserves and negotiate settlements within guidelines.
• Document decisions and communications to ensure compliance.
• Provide empathetic service and clearly explain the claims process.
